Pharmaceutical Products EEG

Pharmaceutical products, among which are medicines and medical devices, are distributed internationally. This usually means that there is an international problem if these products are defective or have serious side-effects that harm patients.

Examples from the past include mechanical heart valves, pacemaker leads, silicone breast implants and various kinds of medication.

The manufacturer of the worldwide distributed pharmaceutical product is usually aware of the legal actions in various jurisdictions regarding the product.

This group is founded to exchange information between plaintiff lawyers who handle these cases for victims.

It is important that these lawyers canbecome aware of actions regarding the same product that are being taken in other jurisdictions. By exchanging information it might even be possible to join in an international collective action on behalf of the victims.

Members of PEOPIL who are interested to join this group are invited to express their interest by contacting admin@peopil.com. The group will first meet in Geneva during the Annual Conference in June 2010. By then it should be possible to have a list of pharmaceutical cases members are currently working on.
