15th Annual McGill University/PEOPIL Conference on International Aviation: Liability, Insurance & Finance – Madrid 5 & 6 June 2025
Held at the beautiful Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE in Madrid, this event brought together the brightest minds in aviation law, insurance, finance, and academia for two days of rich discussion and insightful panels.
Topics ranged from air carrier and environmental liability to insurance, aircraft finance, future trends, and emerging cyber risks, highlighting the complexity of today’s aviation legal landscape.
New PEOPIL EU-UK Position Paper – now live
Today our EU-UK Working Group publishes its first position paper: “Rights of Personal Injury & Fatal Accident Victims in the Field of Jurisdiction and Enforcement – A Call for EU-UK Cooperation.”

Ana Romero, President of the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL), has today announced the establishment of a task force of PEOPIL international lawyers to fight for improved relations and cooperation between the United Kingdom, the EU and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states.
Joint RTA & NLG SIG’s Conference Kraków 3 & 4 April 2025
We gathered in the storied city of Kraków, Poland, for a two-day Joint Conference of the RTA (Road Traffic Accidents) and NLG (New Lawyers Group) SIGs. The medieval architecture and vibrant atmosphere of this former royal capital offered a memorable setting for an event teeming with expert insights, lively discussions, and a spirit of collaboration that epitomizes PEOPIL at its best.
PEOPIL’s Internship/Exchange Programme
Following the announcement of the PEOPIL Internship/Exchange programme in 2024, the first successful match has been made and will start in June 2025.
This project will bring the cooperation between the law firms to a higher level, tighten the connections, enable personal injury lawyers get a cross-border work experience, learn form each other not only about cases, but also about different work environments.
The programme is open to members only.
Joint Maritime and Tourism & Sports Conference Athens
We celebrated two days of interesting topics in the wonderful city of Athens during the Joint Maritime and Tourism & Sports Conference on 7 and 8 November.

In memory of Wolfgang Resch
It is with the heaviest heart that we must inform you that our dear Wolfgang Resch has passed away on November 4th, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Although we are heartbroken, Wolfgang will remain in our thoughts and we feel privileged to have been part of his life.
