PEOPIL New Lawyers Group
European Exchange Group
The New Lawyers Group (NLG) was established with a clear focus on young colleagues and their specific aims and interests, serving as an “entrance door” for young lawyers and putting them into contact with the rest of PEOPIL.
The major goal of this working group is to create a win-win situation in which young lawyers can enhance their skills and networks thanks to the PEOPIL conferences and other projects such as the new website, while simultaneously providing PEOPIL with fresh ideas and a vivid contact to the next generation of personal injury lawyers.
The NLG holds a conference each year. The first conference was held in London in 2014 with the last conference taking place in Edinburgh on 3 March 2023.
Paris will be hosting the event in 2024 on 15 March.
Make sure to follow updates on the conference programme and registration on PEOPIL’s LinkedIn and Instagram!
PEOPIL’s New Lawyers Group has four members on its Board: Aurélie van Dijk, Gabriela Lenarczyk, Rona Hayworth and Nathaniel Martindale.
According to their mission statement, the goal of the Board’s efforts is to provide PEOPIL’s newest members with tools to navigate the early years of a career as personal injury lawyers. The Board is currently developing a mentoring scheme within the organization so that the newest members can make the most of their first years in the profession.
The NLG was established in order that younger lawyers could become more engaged in the activities of PEOPIL. Any lawyers or law students who are practicing law less than 10 years can join the NLG and can remain member until 13 years PQE.
