Over two days we discussed occupational health and workplace accidents, public insurance against accidents at work, human rights, work in the digital age, violence in schools against teachers, tort reform and access to justice and how class actions can be supported by litigation funding.
There were many high-energy debates led by our excellent chairs, Sylvia Mysliwska, Philip Mead, Dr. Stefano Dangel, Sarah Prager KC, Giulia Oberto and Abigail Holt.
Our US Board member Anthony Tarricone spoke about the challenges of fighting unjust tort reforms in the US and Marco Bona spoke about similar challenges in Europe.
We enjoyed debating the issues, exchanging information and exploring again the complex issue of AI along with other innovations that will shape the future of the legal profession.
We would like to thank our speakers, panellists and kind sponsors MBO Law, DEKA Chambers, A&C and Dolce Lauda, and our administrator Philippine Bax who worked tirelessly with the programme committee and organisers to make the joint conference a great success.
Most importantly we met again as friends in the PEOPIL family and we will continue to work together to reach the highest standards of personal injury practice and to fight for legal systems where justice is accessible, accountable, transparent and compassionate.
