The PEOPIL conferences offer a great opportunity to network and to share knowledge. Members enjoy discount and participants who are new at PEOPIL are offered free membership for the rest of the year if they sign up.

Apart from the Annual Conference in autumn, we co-organise an Aviation Conference with McGill University on an bi-annual basis and smaller conferences are organised by our SIG Chairs.

Joint RTA and NLG Conference in Bucharest

After the successful joint conference in Kraków last year, we are excited to be organising this event in the capital of Romania, Bucharest in March 2026.
The programme of the NLG conference is nearly ready and we hope to open registration soon.

Joint Conference of Occ. Health and Tort Reform SIG's

20 & 21 November 2025

This year’s conference of the Occupational Health and Tort Reform Special Interests Groups was held over two days on Thursday the 20th and Friday 21st of November 2025 in the beautiful City of Turin. The Conference was ably organised and run by the Chair of our Tort Reform Group Marco Bona, Giulia Oberto our Italian General Board member, Umberto Oliva, Chair of our Occupational Health Group and Edoardo Traversa.

25, 26 & 27 September 2025

Beyond the irresistible waffles, world-famous fries, and of course, Belgian beer, Brussels is the beating heart of Europe — a symbolic and strategic location for a conference dedicated to justice. For an organisation like PEOPIL, with a mission to enhance access to justice, hosting an event in Brussels was both fitting and essential.

1 & 2 September 2025

The AAJ/PEOPIL Brith Injury and Medical Negligence seminar in Paris this week was yet another successful collaboration between AAJ’s Birth Trauma Litigation Group and Medical Negligence Information Exchange Group and PEOPIL’s Medical Negligence Special Interest Group. Thanks to Les Weisbrod of AAJ for all the work done in planning, chairing and funding this conference. Thanks also to the sponsorship of Rebekah Reedy Miller of Reedy Miller + Freeman.

5 & 6 June 2025

Held at the beautiful Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE in Madrid, this event brought together the brightest minds in aviation law, insurance, finance, and academia for two days of rich discussion and insightful panels. Topics ranged from air carrier and environmental liability to insurance, aircraft finance, future trends, and emerging cyber risks, highlighting the complexity of today’s aviation legal landscape.

23 & 24 May 2025

The Joint Conference of the PEOPIL Product Liability, Pharmaceutical and Mass Tort SIG, and the Road Traffic & Whiplash SIG was held on 6th and 7th June 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal, at the luxurious Hotel Dom Pedro. Supported by Deka Chambers and 12 KBW, this event attracted legal professionals from all over Europe, eager to dive into the latest developments in these fields.

3 & 4 April 2025

We gathered in the storied city of Kraków, Poland, for a two-day Joint Conference of the RTA (Road Traffic Accidents) and NLG (New Lawyers Group) SIGs. The medieval architecture and vibrant atmosphere of this former royal capital offered a memorable setting for an event teeming with expert insights, lively discussions, and a spirit of collaboration that epitomizes PEOPIL at its best.

We celebrated two days of interesting topics in the wonderful city of Athens during the Joint Maritime and Tourism & Sports Conference on 7 and 8 November. Are you still getting goosebumps when you think about the marvellous and unforgettable time in Prague? The local organisers, supported by the beatiful city of Prague and a sunny weather, created an unforgetable atmosphere. It was a true pleasure not only to observe your keen interest in the various discussion panels, but also to witness your enthusiasm about meeting your collegues over the breaks and planned social, cultural and sport programme.

At the heart of the New Lawyers Group Conference in Paris (14-15 March 2024) lies the spirit of innovation and collaboration that the New Lawyers Group (NLG) brings to PEOPIL. Established as the gateway for young lawyers into the broader community, the NLG focuses on nurturing the specific aims and interests of young legal professionals. This event underscored the pivotal role of the NLG in shaping the future of personal injury law, providing a platform for young lawyers to enhance their skills, expand their networks, and contribute fresh perspectives to the field.

29 & 30 September, Dublin

On 29 and 30 September, delegates from 24 jurisdictions met at the Law Society of Ireland in Dublin for PEOPIL’s Annual Conference. During these two days, the most renowned personal injury lawyers and academics received exceptional education from conference speakers on emerging areas of law and litigation, had numerous networking opportunities and developed comradery with their colleagues. 4 & 5 September, Florence

Joint Occupational Health/Workplace Accidents and RTA Conference

15 & 16 June, Thessaloniki

In the beautiful and historical town of Thessaloniki, capital of Greek Macedonia, the perfectly organised PEOPIL Occupational Health & RTA Conference could be nothing more than another successful event. Highly ranked and accredited in their field professors, attorneys and technical experts, mainly from Europe but also from other parts of the world, formed a very strong team of panelists and speakers, while all participants were warmly welcomed by the Athens and Thessaloniki Bar Association representatives, as per the well known Greek hospitality.

21 & 22 April, Paris

After a pause of over two years due to covid the long-awaited conference was indeed a great success. When we started the McGill /PEOPIL aviation seminar collaboration back in 2008 in Toulouse, France we were 17 participants, including speakers. That seminar included a much appreciated visit to Airbus and their 380 assembly plant.

2 & 3 March, Edinburgh

Our New Lawyers Group conference in Edinburgh was held on 3 March. The speaker line up was phenomenal and the venue was the breathtaking Signet Library. We were very fortunate to have Digby Brown Solicitors as our main sponsor and help us with the organisation.
